There are many reasons to jailbreak your iPhone. For some it’s a moral choice, a belief that as the owner of your phone, you have the right to install whatever you like on a product you have paid for. For some its practical, a jailbroken iPhone allows you to have WiFi access wherever you go, as well as access to all sorts of applications you otherwise wouldn’t be able to use. Then, for the rest of us, it’s because we like to make our phones look pretty like a princess.

So, using apps such as Cydia’s Winterboard app, we show you the best looks for your iPhone’s UI.

HTC’s Hero theme for the Android was a brilliant Sense UI pretty much universally loved. While it doesn’t transfer perfectly to the iPhone, it’s still makes your home screen look fantastic.

Suave is a groovy little theme you can apply to your iPhone or iPod touch using the Winterboard app. You can find the default package for this theme under the ModMyi repository in Cydia. The theme comes with a host of features, such as new icons for your stock applications and some of the more popular non-stock ones. It also adds new wallpaper, page indicator dots, badges, dock and a new status bar.

Glaskart is a really, really pretty theme, also available through ModMyi in Cydia. It’s name is Swedish for “clear-like-glass”. The name pretty much sums these theme up. Its elements are all transparent or semi-transparent, complementing whatever wallpaper you choose to apply. Of course, as in fashion, accessorising is everything, so try to use a dark wallpaper to bring out the best of this theme.

The Glaskart theme gives you custom badges, popup dialogues and SMS bubbles, new skins for your dialer and calculator, and over 5,100 new icons. You get all this for the grand total of zero dollars. Nought. Nil. Nothing. Sometimes, style really is priceless.
