Style – some critics claim she is derivative of artists who have come before like Madonna or even Christina Aguilera, but she has certainly developed her own sense of style now. In fact, you can see her influence everywhere. It’s only natural for someone to get categorized when they first come out, but now she’s clearly in a category all her own. Did you see Katy Perry wear that big pointy hat at the American Music Awards? I wonder where she got that idea.

Cultural Impact – there’s probably no other star out there right now who has had such a major cultural impact. She has influenced different styles of dress, how music videos look, and what people listen to. All the while she’s managed to do it in a relatively classy way without taking an in-your-face approach.

Good Songs – whenever it comes to music stars, it all boils down to the quality of the music. Quite simply, someone won’t be around very long if they stop producing hits. And on the other side of things it doesn’t matter how much trouble someone gets into if they still make popular music. A prime example would be Chris Brown. With Lady Gaga, she continues to pump out hit after hit and she’ll remain popular as long as she does so. You can bet if you go to a bar where there is a karaoke machine, you’ll hear one of her songs at some point in the night.

Real Talent – this isn’t just a case of autotune fixing up a mediocre voice. If you take a look at old videos of Gaga, you’ll see she had a stellar voice from the very beginning. A lot of other factors tend to overshadow her singing talent, but deep down inside she has a beautiful voice.

Awesome Fans – one of the biggest reasons why she has achieved such stardom is her connection with their fans. Her “little monsters” as she calls them are loyal and love her dearly. They look up to her and in return, they motivate her to keep producing music. It’s a symbiotic relationship and one that is very special, and you won’t find more dedicated fans anywhere else.
