Blackberry – Reasons To Own One

You have had that favorite cell phone of yours now for some time. It’s starting to look rough. You’ve dropped it a dozen times, it’s scratched, some of the buttons are sticking, it may be even the display is damaged. Heck, maybe you’ve even dropped this thing in the water, or worse yet the toilet. You can barely text on the thing if you can figure out how to use the multi-tap function that comes with your old phone.

Isn’t it time to replace that old mobile phone? Too many choices you say? Well, let’s look at a very user friendly Blackberry Curve from Research in Motion that is simple to use, highly functional, and on top of that, looks pretty good too. The Blackberry Curve.

The Blackberry Curve is great phone. It has great sound quality, voice dialing, phone books, and much more. Really, much more. The Curve is a smartphone or a data phone. You can not only make phone calls, send text messages, access the internet, but you can also run applications. Applications that will let you do things like track your spending, GPS functions, feed readers for news and information, get the latest weather updates and much more.

Blackberry just opened its new Blackberry Application World where you can find hundreds of different applications to run on your new phone. Some are free but most have a one-time fee ranging from 0.99 to several dollars.

So, what are the 5 reasons to purchase a Blackberry Curve today?

First of all, it’s a very well designed pda. It’s sleek, it’s small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, and it just looks good. It also is available at most carriers in black or red.

Secondly, it has a full QWERTY keyboard. Now, my fingers are a little on the fat side when it comes to small keyboards. However, have had very little trouble using the fully functional QWERTY keyboard on the Curve. It’s perfect for text messaging or composing short emails. Would I want to right a novel on one? No, but for most short tasks it works out very well.

Thirdly, it has a large ultra-bright display. This makes it so much easier to read/see what’s on the screen. This is screen is bright enough and big enough to not only view pictures but to also watch video. I have watched several Youtube video’s from the Curve and I have been amazed at the clarity.

The fourth reason to purchase a Blackberry Curve is the camera and video recorder. You need a memory card to use the video recorder but you begin taking pictures as soon as you take the thing out of the box and charge it. The quality is very good at 2.0 MP. I mean it’s not 35mm Cannon Rebel good but it’s good. The video is good, not great but good. It is certainly good enough that you can shoot snippets to upload to your website or your home computer without having to wag around a larger video camera.

Finally, the final reason to own the Blackberry Curve is it’s overall ease of use. I was very concerned moving from a basic Motorola Razr to the Curve. I was most concerned about learning how to use the phone and the size of the keyboard. The Blackberry Smartphone is actually very intuitive. It has been one of the most user friendly phones I have ever used.
