The surprisingly slim Samsung d900 mobile phone is simple to use. You can hook it to your TV, synchronize it with your PC’s calendar or just make calls, the Samsung d900 has it all. The moment you set your eyes on it, the cell phone will draw your attention because of its exciting features and the stylish appearance. It has a large screen, is lightweight and is very slim. Unlike other cell phones, though it is a slider, it is very thin.
The slide action is smooth and there is no feeling of it going to break like some other phones. It is easy to start up the phone and set it running. The menu is simple and you can quickly start making calls or sending messages. The keys are large enough and can be used with ease. On the outside of the phone you can find the buttons of the camera and the audio controls alongside ports for external data card (Micro SD – not supplied with the phone) and external socket. Use the same socket for charging, connecting to a laptop to synchronize data, the external headset and for connection to a TV. The Samsung D900 has a special final touch with a 3 megapixel camera and a superb display, all in a stylish sliding body. The price, however, is rather high.
The key features include supreme sliding construction, stylish design of mere 12.9 mm thickness, brilliant display with QVGA resolution, comfortable keypad, 3 megapixel camera with auto focus, multi-field phonebook with thousand entries, internal memory of nearly 60 MB, extendable through microSD cards, applications for viewing Office documents, TV out, GPRS and EDGE Class 10, MP3 player and Bluetooth.
The D900 Samsung has kept its menu in a single page of nine groups. So this speeds up the navigation. When you get into any part of the menu you get little pop up menus that have pop up menus of their own. It can be a little tiresome in the beginning but after some time you will become used to the regular ones that you normally use. With a few clicks you can set the date, time and send messages. The D900 Samsung uses timezones and allows you to configure for daylight saving. Another useful feature is that you can opt for the Auto Update feature which reconfigures the time and date information when you change country rather than you having to keep making the settings yourself.
The Samsung d900 comes with a number of games that are easy to play on this mobile. They are all Java games that can be downloaded and added from a variety of sources. Finding the games on the phone is not easy. You need to go to the Applications menu and take the option for Java World. it would have been easy if there was a simple games icon.
The music player if used for a couple of hours will quickly kill the battery. This is a disappointment. The phone comes with 60MB of memory and the ability to use a Micro SD card. However, you will need to think carefully about the size of the audio files as they can quickly use all of the memory.
The d900 Samsung mobile phone synchronizes well with your email, contacts and diary on the PC and makes this a unique business and personal device. Apart from the poor battery performance when playing music, this is a nice phone for slim mobile lovers.
